Punjab Clarifies Claims of Driving License Without Test, Warns Public Against Online Scams
A viral message circulating on WhatsApp and social media has claimed that residents of Punjab can obtain a driving license without appearing for a test, but authorities have clarified that the claim is false and misleading. The message directs users to a website named dastakpunjab. online and asks applicants to submit personal details and pay fees through Easypaisa or JazzCash.
Officials from the Punjab government and the Traffic Police have clearly denied any link with the website. They confirmed that the only authorized platform for driving license-related services is dastak.punjab.govt.pk, which operates under an official government domain.

He emphasized that no system currently allows the complete issuance of a driving license online without testing.
Cybersecurity experts warn that such platforms often aim to collect CNIC details, photos, and payments, leading to identity theft and financial fraud. Authorities have urged citizens to rely only on official channels and report suspicious links.
The Punjab government has reiterated that passing a driving test is mandatory, and any claim suggesting otherwise should be treated as a scam.
