Fast Bowler Leaves BPL Mid-Season
Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir has exited the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) mid-season after mutually parting ways with franchise Sylhet Titans, the team confirmed. The decision was taken with the agreement of both parties, bringing Amir’s stint with the side to an early close.
Sylhet Titans stated that 70 percent of Amir’s total contract value has already been paid, in line with the terms and conditions agreed upon at the time of signing. The franchise did not cite any disciplinary or performance-related reasons behind the separation.

Before leaving, Amir shared a farewell video message, thanking the team management and support staff for their professionalism and hospitality. He praised the franchise for the care and respect shown to him throughout his stay.
The Sylhet Titans management also acknowledged Amir’s contribution, describing him as a professional who added value both on and off the field. While his departure is seen as a setback for the remainder of the season, the team expressed optimism about working with the experienced pacer again in the future.
Sylhet Titans currently stand third on the BPL points table, with three wins and three losses from six matches played so far.
