HEC Opens Bangladesh Scholarship Opportunity for Pakistani Engineering Students

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced a new scholarship opportunity for Pakistani students seeking undergraduate education in Bangladesh, offering a fresh pathway for those interested in engineering and architecture degrees.

Under this initiative, admissions have been opened for international students at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), one of the country’s leading public universities. The scholarships are available only for selected undergraduate programs, with a focus on technical and design disciplines.

HEC has clarified that Pakistani students must apply strictly through the Higher Education Commission. Applications sent directly to the university or through other channels will not be entertained, making HEC the sole authorized platform for submission.

Applicants are required to submit a complete set of documents, including academic certificates, matric and intermediate result cards, O-Level and A-Level equivalence certificates where applicable, a valid passport, recent passport-size photographs with a blue background, and proof of English language proficiency.

The commission has announced January 16, 2026, as the final deadline for submitting applications. Students have been strongly advised to ensure all documents are accurate and complete to avoid delays or rejection during the evaluation process.

The initiative reflects growing academic cooperation between Pakistan and Bangladesh and aims to expand international learning opportunities for Pakistani youth.
