ICC Confirms Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Qualifier Dates

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed the full schedule for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Qualifier, with Nepal set to host all matches of the crucial tournament early next year. Ten teams will compete for four remaining spots at the Women’s T20 World Cup, which will be held in England in June and July 2026.

The qualifier will run from 18 January to 1 February, while warm-up matches are scheduled for 14 and 16 January. Games will be played at three venues in Kathmandu: Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground, Upper Mulpani, and Lower Mulpani.

Teams have been split into two groups. Group A includes Bangladesh, Ireland, Namibia, Papua New Guinea, and the United States, while Group B features Nepal, the Netherlands, Scotland, Thailand, and Zimbabwe. The tournament will begin with the USA facing Bangladesh, while hosts Nepal open their campaign against Thailand.

During the group stage, matches will be played on alternate days, concluding on 26 January. The top three teams from each group will advance to the Super Six stage, scheduled for 28 January, 30 January, and 1 February. At the end of the Super Six round, four teams will qualify for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, keeping hopes alive for several emerging cricket nations.
