USF officials said improved broadband access will support education, healthcare, small businesses, and online employment opportunities, especially for youth and women in far-flung areas. Reliable internet is also expected to strengthen access to digital services, financial platforms, and emergency communication.
The fund emphasized transparency in the bidding process and encouraged qualified firms to participate. Once awarded, the projects will be monitored to ensure quality service delivery and long-term sustainability.
The move comes at a time when internet connectivity is increasingly seen as essential infrastructure, playing a key role in Pakistan’s social and economic development.
