Punjab Launches Wheat Competition 2025–26 with Tractors and Cash Prizes for Farmers
The Punjab government has kicked off the Wheat Yield Competition 2025–26 to encourage higher productivity and modern farming practices across the province.
Top performers at the provincial level will win tractors, with the first prize being an 85-horsepower tractor, followed by 75HP and 60HP tractors for second and third places. At the district level, winners will receive cash rewards: Rs1 million for first place, Rs800,000 for second, and Rs500,000 for third.

Farmers with five acres or more of land can apply through local agriculture offices or download forms from the Punjab Agriculture Department’s website. Photocopies of forms are also accepted to make participation easier.
To ensure fairness, elected officials, senior government staff, agriculture department employees, and certain progressive farmers are not eligible. The initiative aims to boost wheat output while promoting transparency and healthy competition among Punjab’s farming community.
