Punjab to Provide Free E-Bikes and Laptops to 100,000 Students to Boost Education
The Punjab government has announced a major initiative to provide free e-bikes and laptops to 100,000 students across the province. The program aims to support education and youth empowerment, helping students who face challenges with transportation and access to modern learning tools.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced the National Workshop Balochistan, emphasizing that the youth are the country’s most valuable asset. She said the distribution will be strictly merit-based, linked to existing programs like the Honahaar Scholarship scheme. Students from all provinces studying in Punjab are eligible to benefit.

Maryam Nawaz also highlighted other welfare projects in the province, including affordable housing, home delivery of medicines, and expanded healthcare services, particularly for children with special needs.
The government is also improving public transport and infrastructure, with initiatives like electric buses in Lahore, low-cost green bus services, and broader expansion of transport facilities.
The chief minister reiterated the government’s focus on transparency, merit, and public service, promising additional youth-focused programs in the near future to further support education and development across Punjab.
